What is worry?

Everyone worries from time to time but worrying too much can sometimes become problematic. Normal worry is generally short-lived and leads to positive problem-solving behaviour but prolonged or frequent worry generates more anxiety and more worry and that can prevent you from taking positive action.

How we can help treat your worry

At Thinkaction, we can give you cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to help treat your worry. This is something that’s recommended by NICE (The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence). Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) helps you to identify how thoughts and behaviour impact on your mood. Your Thinkaction mental health practitioner will help you to develop more balanced thinking patterns and change unhelpful behaviour patterns that may cause or prolong symptoms of depression. This process is always carried out in a gradual, step-by-step way so you feel comfortable and in control.
